The Human Geography Institute focuses on both the initial development of a course and the continued development of existing programs.
The week will consist of content lectures, model lessons, discussions of strategies for teaching the course, and ways to prepare students for the AP® Human Geography exam. Participants will conduct a geographic field study outside of class-time using various locations in the metro area and then present their conclusions to the class participants. In addition participants should bring a lesson idea to share with other students during the week.
