APSI: AP Micro/Macroeconomics for New Teachers, Week 3

This course will introduce the teacher to the material and skills to support student success in the AP Economics courses.

Participants will discuss strategies and lessons suggested to develop students' skills in economic analysis. Participants will be given guidance in development of a class syllabus as well as a review of the most recent exam. Participants will be expected to attend the entire week of traiing and participate in all activities as scheduled.

Julie Meek has been teaching since 1994 and teaching AP and IB economics since 2003. She has graded for AP economics since 2007 and has been a table leader for the last five years. Previously, she taught and graded for AP human geography. She is a part of the North Texas Economics teachers group and has presented many times for that group as well several times at Council for Economics Education. She holds a masters in economic education from the University of Delaware.
