Fall IB: Business management, Category 1 & 2

Category 1 workshops are designed to provide training and assistance for schools that have decided to apply for IB authorization. They are equally relevant for educators who are new to a school with an existing IB programme and those interested in joining an IB World School.

Category 2 workshops are designed to provide a forum for experienced IB educators, focusing on programme delivery. Emphasis is placed on assessment, teaching and learning methodologies, and exploring best practices in the classroom.

The workshop is designed to provide an understanding of the Business Management guide and to generate an appreciation of the rationale behind concept-based learning. Participants will explore teaching methodologies and best practices in the classroom in order to better address the expectations of today’s learners.

Instructor: Anna Maria Zosa

Anna María Zosa teaches IBDP Business Management SL and HL at The British Schools of Montevideo and she also coordinates the school’s Humanities department. She is presently a principal examiner and team leader for SL Paper 1 in English and Spanish, and team leader for the Extended Essay. Ms. Zosa holds a bachelor’s degree in Legal Management from Ateneo de Manila University (Philippines) and a master’s in International Political Economy and Development from Fordham University (New York).
