My Favorite Novels — and Great Films Made From Them

Examine four great novels from different eras and the memorable films made from them. Dr. Dennis Huston guides discussion in this lively class.

In this class we carefully examine four great novels from different eras -- "Pride and Prejudice," "Great Expectations," "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" and "Atonement" -- to see what makes them so successful. We watch and discuss the great films made from them, and in the case of "Pride and Prejudice" and "Great Expectations," we view sections of more than one film of the same work.
