Kristen Jones retired after 26 years of teaching AP and Pre-AP Chemistry at A&M Consolidated High School in College Station, TX. She has been teaching AP/pre-AP science teacher workshops across the US for 25 years. She currently works with teachers and students through NMSI and College Board, as well as writing and editing textbooks, exams, and on-line materials for several publishers. She is the co-author of the newly released Fast Track to a 5 exam prep book for AP Chemistry to go with the new 10th edition of the Zumdahl AP text and the upcoming Fast Track to a 5 for AP Chemistry to go with the next edition of Kotz AP Chemistry, as well as writing AP-style multiple-choice and free response questions found in each of these textbooks. In 2000, Ms. Jones was named the Outstanding Secondary Science Teacher in Texas, and she has also received the American Chemistry Council Catalyst award, Siemens Foundation award for Advanced Placement, American Chemical Society Southwest Regional award, College Board Advanced Placement Special Recognition award, ACT2 Outstanding Chemistry Teacher in Texas award and Sigma Xi Outstanding Secondary Science Teacher award. Her students had a >95% pass rate on the AP exam, and they have also been winners in many national science competitions.
