Our creative writing courses offer expert guidance from published authors to help new, emerging and practicing writers hone their craft. These interactive classes are designed to demystify the process of writing, enhance technical skills and provide inspiration to start, restart and sustain a creative writing practice in a supportive community of fellow writers.

Spring Creative Writing Courses

Start Writing, Keep Writing     Karleen Koen Starts: February 7 (Day & Evening)
Outrun your internal critic in this course composed of timed, in-class prompts. Participants will have the chance to share their writing and listen to others’ work.

Memoir Writing     Nancy Geyer, M.A., M.S. Starts: February 20
Whether writing as a gift to yourself or as a legacy to future generations, create a memoir that is uniquely yours through writing exercises and discussion.

Introduction to Short Story Writing     Robert Liddell, M.F.A. Starts: March 2
Harness technical aspects of fiction and instinctive elements of writing to create stories with shape, intention and action. You will be encouraged to complete at least one short story with the assistance of class critiques.
