In addition to our other education initiatives, the Glasscock School of Continuing Studies offers specialized programming for educators in areas of leadership coaching, teaching practices and more.
Schools and districts across the country use a variety of models and structures for teacher coaching programs. At its core, instructional coaching seeks to provide an opportunity for ongoing, job-embedded professional development to improve teacher practices and student learning. In this one-week program, participants will gain increased knowledge of instructional coaching best practices and proven techniques to integrate into the classroom.
Teaching world religions and religious literacy in public school classrooms can be challenging for teachers if they lack confidence or feel they need to improve their own content knowledge about religions and philosophies. This one-week program provides teachers with greater content knowledge of the study of religion and reviews methods for better incorporating these studies into lesson plans and classroom learning.
