With Halloween drawing near there seems to be no better time to talk about paranormal experiences, and no one better to address this topic than Jeffrey J. Kripal, Ph.D., the J. Newton Rayzor Chair in Philosophy and Religious Thought at Rice University. Having taught a number of courses for us, including “Understanding the Paranormal Through Religion, History and Literature,” and this fall's course, “A Brief History of the Soul,” Kripal imparts his wisdom on the origin of telepathy and the history of the paranormal in an interview with NPR’s Steve Paulson, which aired around Halloween of 2012.
