Kara Eldersveld joined the School in September of 2018 as Director of Marketing and Enrollment Strategy. In this role, Kara works with the Glasscock School’s eight diverse departments to connect the dots between the School, the University and the Houston community. She has over a decade of experience in brand strategy, marketing communications, digital marketing, account management and creative execution for organizations in education, community outreach, technology, hospitality and entertainment. By partnering with organizations such as Google, HBO, Good Reason Houston, BakerRipley and The White House, Kara has found success in understanding human behavior as much as she understands business performance and branding. Her work has earned industry awards, such as an Emmy nomination, a Design Grand Prix at Cannes and a Gold Effie.
Kara also serves as a member of the Creative Alliance, a collective of top creative talent that support social good initiatives on behalf of Civic Nation, a non-partisan, non-profit organization that brings together public and private stakeholders to run campaigns dedicated to increasing civic engagement and community organizing.
