Alexandra Yates currently serves as Development Director of Stages with more than 15 years in the nonprofit fundraising and special events sector. With over a decade of leadership experience, she served as Senior Director of Special Events at Houston Ballet where she oversaw fundraising and operations for some of the City’s most well-known events, including the Houston Ballet Ball and Nutcracker Market. Throughout her career, she has done special events in nonprofit healthcare and significantly boosted contributed revenue for arts organizations including Lyric Opera Virginia and the Houston Symphony. Notable achievements include the Symphony’s record-breaking Centennial season of events and the $2.6M Centennial Ball which AFP awarded as Outstanding Fundraising Program in 2014. Alexandra holds a Bachelor of Arts Management from Randolph-Macon College and is actively involved in the Houston community as a member of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, Junior League of Houston, Inc., SheSpace and Houston Ballet Guild.
