BIOGRAPHY

Armon Ibrahim graduated from Rice University in May 2025 with a bachelor’s degree in cognitive sciences, a minor in business, and a Certificate in Leadership supplemented by the Doerr Institute’s Leadership Foundations Badge. Armon joined the Center for Community Learning and Engagement in 2026 as a program administrator. In this role she provides administrative and technical support to participants, instructors and partnering organizations for many of the Center’s programs including local and regional courses and Rice’s Lifelong University retirement community learning initiative. Her background spans educational technology, research, program coordination, and community engagement through prior work with OpenStax, ELITE Tech Camp, and Rice’s Office of International Students and Scholars. Originally from Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, she is passionate about community engagement through event planning, mentorship, student leadership, and outreach within Houston’s Ethiopian community. Armon also previously taught a college course on Amharic, her native language, and would be happy to teach you a phrase or two.
