BIOGRAPHY
Saira Cooper has been working in higher education for 22 years. Throughout her tenure in higher education, Saira has built a reputation for identifying technological needs and resolving issues related to business processes, technology use, deployment methodologies and integration strategies. In addition, she values collaborative partnerships and her vision and ability to nurture relationships that lead to long-term solutions and success.
Saira is currently enrolled into a doctoral program in Education at Johns Hopkins University. She holds a master’s degree in Education Technology and Instructional Design from West Virgina University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Mathematics from Davis and Elkins College.
In 2020, Saira completed a graduate certificate in Strategic Management from Harvard University’s Division of Continuing Education. She was also the recipient of the Bethaida “Bea” Gonzalez Diversity in Leadership Scholars Program scholarship. Saira completed a Professional Certificate in Online Leadership Certificate from the University of Professional Continuing Education Associating (UPCEA). She is an active member of the eDesign Collaborative and Online Administration Network and a member of the Diversity Equity and Inclusion Committee within UPCEA. Along with other committee members, Saira helped develop the UPCEA DEI tools and resources library.
