Rhetta Detrich has dedicated her career to supporting initiatives that enhance the lives of individuals and their communities. Over her 30 year career in the social sector, she has helped to propel the work of organizations in several urban centers including Washington DC, Chicago, Boston and Houston. Founded in 2010, her Houston-based strategy consulting firm serves local nonprofits of various sizes and missions. Her practice focuses on strategic planning, governance, succession planning, building coalitions, organizational culture, staffing design, and change management. She serves as a skilled facilitator, trainer, and advisor. Rhetta has helped to advance the work of organizations in diverse arenas including K-12 education, workforce development, community development, parks and green spaces, and the performing arts. Client partners range from small start-up organizations to major civic and cultural institutions. Rhetta is a graduate of The University of Texas at Austin (B.A.) and holds a Master’s degree in Administration, Planning and Policy from the Harvard Graduate School of Education. She resides in Houston, Texas with her husband and two children.
