The Certified Financial Planner® Certification Education program is offered in classroom and online formats. This course teaches the core curriculum necessary to meet the educational requirement to sit for the CFP® exam, including completion of a financial plan development (capstone) course registered with the CFP Board.
The College Access Counseling Certificate Program is a 40-hour minimum (non-credit, Continued Professional Education - CPE) certificate program that fulfills the professional needs of secondary college access counselors. The program has been specifically designed to increase the participants' knowledge and improve their capacity to assist students in navigating the pathway to college.
The Fund Development Certificate is useful for individuals and organizations as they pursue growth in fundraising knowledge and skills. The certificate consists of four elective fundraising courses and one required development plan course. These courses provide you with a broad understanding of the fundraising role as well as assistance in the implementation of best practices within your organization.
The LINE program is a 10-month journey designed to assist nonprofit leaders and those aspiring to leadership roles in the nonprofit sector to build their current skillsets and become effective and successful leaders of nonprofit organizations. Rice paralegals are in demand. The Paralegal Graduate Certificate program is skills-based and offered in both a classroom and online format. The paralegal studies program is taught by practicing attorneys and includes career search support. Individuals who successfully complete the program receive a Rice Certificate of Achievement.
Candidates already holding a master’s degree may choose to earn the principal certification only. Candidates needing to earn a master’s degree can do so via our Master of Arts in Teaching program (MAT). The MAT plan of study can facilitate a specialization in educational leadership, allowing you to earn your MAT and principal certification simultaneously.
Rice University Teacher Education offers two options for Rice undergraduate students interested in a career in education. Students may choose to earn either a Texas teaching certificate (in a specified field) or a Texas teaching certificate and a Master of Arts in Teaching. With either option, our dedicated faculty offer pre-service teachers an exceptional amount of personal contact, coaching, support and supervision.
