Rice University is proud to partner with AAPC to offer the comprehensive Medical Coding & Billing Boot Camp. This 30-week program, led by industry experts from AAPC, is designed to provide in-depth training in both Medical Billing and Medical Coding. Each section includes all course materials, textbooks, two full weeks of review, and practice tests — all included in the tuition cost, ensuring students are well-prepared for certification and success in the field.
This 30-week Medical Billing and Coding Certification Program is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of essential medical billing and coding principles, while also equipping them with valuable career development skills. The program includes two specialized courses: Medical Billing for CPB Certification and Medical Coding for CPC Certification, each designed to fully prepare students for the respective certification exams. Additionally, students will benefit from dedicated career services, guiding them through the job search process and supporting them in launching a rewarding career in healthcare.
Medical Billing
This course provides an in-depth introduction to health insurance and reimbursement processes, preparing you for the AAPC Certified Professional Biller (CPB)® certification exam. You’ll learn the essential principles of medical billing, focusing on the accurate preparation, submission, payment processing, and follow-up of claim forms.
Medical Coding
Gain the skills needed to code professional services (e.g., physicians, mid-level providers) in preparation for the AAPC Certified Professional Coder (CPC) ® certification exam. You’ll master the interpretation of medical records, medical terminology, and anatomy, while using ICD-10-CM,
CPT, and HCPCS Level II code books. Practical experience in coding operative reports and evaluation and management services will ensure you’re ready for real-world applications.
Hands-On Learning
